Kornegay received the Hope & Will Award
Eagle’s Landing junior Alleyah Kornegay earned a special award from Positive Athlete, which recently announced its scholarship recipients for the 2024-25 school year.
Kornegay received the Hope & Will Award, which includes a $1,000 scholarship from Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The honor recognizes her strong character and positive attitude.
The scholarship will be presented at the 2025 Georgia Positive Athlete Awards Ceremony at Piedmont Church in Marietta on June 5.
Kornegay, a swimmer, won Henry County championships in the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke last season.
