Teacher Bio

I am a native of Atlanta and I have lived in Georgia since birth.

I attended school in the Atlanta Public Schools district from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

I earned an A.S. from Atlanta Metropolitan College; a B.S. from Georgia State University, and an MPA from Clark-Atlanta University.

I have six children, six grandchildren and a golden doodle, my granddog -Mello.

My hobbies are traveling, karaoke, swimming, reading, and spending time with my family.

I've been in the field of Education for over 20 years, having served in a multiplicity of roles; including, but not limited to, substitute teaching, Title I programs, contractual services, literacy & reading development.  Presently, I am teaching Biology, while furthering my studies with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) emphasis.

My students and their success are very important to me.

Each day, I approach the learning objectives and opportunities to connect with a sense of excitement and expectation.

As a collaborative team (students, parents and teachers), I believe that we ALL can be better.

I look forward to sharing, growing and "glowing" with you this school year!
